If you got bored with simple design of Google Chrome new tab, there is an easy way to make it more interesting with app called Awesome New Tab Page. With this app you can add much more functionality (or shortcut links to applications) to the new Google browser tab and in this tutorial I will show you how.


With Microsoft’s Metro looks like interface, Awesome new tab Page allows you to customize the new tab and even add widgets. Installation is as simple as adding the app from the Chrome app store. Once done, you will see that, when you click on the new tab option, space appears completely configurable.
To organize things, you need to unlock them by clicking on lock icon located at the left side of your screen. Then you can move, delete or edit anything you like.

To create a new icon, you must click on one of the empty boxes. Then enter the URL you want to target and add 128 x 128 pixels icon to customize the appearance of the link.

If we wish to add more useful features inside new tabs, you can download additional widgets from the Download Widgets section located at the left side of your screen.

The little effort you need to spend in customizing Google Chrome new tab is worth, because you will have a very comprehensive menu from which you can access all content you use frequently on your computer. Following the steps outlined below, you’ll be able to save any of the attachments included with your Gmail messages straight to Dropbox.

1. To get started, head over to https://www.insynchq.com/gmail and click the Sign in with your Gmail account button at the bottom of the page.


2. You’ll be redirected to your Google accounts page where you’ll need to grant access to Insynchq.com – make sure that Remember this approval is checked, and then click the Allow button.


3. On your insync page you’ll need to add an account – so click the Dropbox button.


4. This time you’ll be redirected to your Dropbox page, where you’ll need to grant access for Insync on your Dropbox account. Click the Allow button.


5. Finally, set a label to use in Gmail. The default label of @Dropbox is perfect – but you can use anything you’d like. Click the Set label button when you’re done.


6. At this point there should be a “Connected service” on your Insync page (see the image below – yours won’t be identical but it will be close).


7. Now open up your Gmail. Locate an email that has an attachment you’d like to save to Dropbox. You can either “move” the email to your @Dropbox label, as illustrated in the image below…


8. or you can simply apply the @Dropbox label to the email (which means it will remain in your Inbox, but also be included in your @Dropbox “folder”, and thus downloaded to Dropbox).


9. Once you’ve applied the @Dropbox label to an email with an attachment, your Dropbox folder will automatically create a sub-folder titled Attachments.

10. Inside of that folder you’ll find additional folders. Each will be named using the email addresses of people who have sent you messages, that have attachments, that you applied the @Dropbox label to.

11. Open one of those folders, and you’ll find the attachment happily waiting for you :)

12. Going forward, all you need to do is apply that @Dropbox label to any messages with attachments, and those attachments will be automatically sent to Dropbox. That’s it!

This tutorial will show you how to automatically send a custom message to each of your new Twitter followers.
Using the terrific and free service IFTTT, you can automatically send a direct message to each new person who follows you on Twitter. Just follow the steps outlined below –

1. If you don’t already have an IFTTT account, head over to IFTTT.com and sign up for one. The sign-up process is simple and very straight forward (and again, free).
2. Once your account has been set up, visit the “recipe” page Greet new twitter follower. Scroll down to the section title Activate these Channels first and click the first Activate button.


3. A browser window will ‘pop-up’ asking you to sign into Twitter and authenticate the IFTTT app. Enter your username/email address and password in the spaces provided, then click the Authorize app button.


4. Once the “Twitter Channel” has been activated, click the Done button.


5. Now scroll down to the What’s Happening? section. You’ll see that the default “message” (greeting) that’s sent to each of your new followers is Welcome, Thanks for following! – which is a little boring.


6. Let’s edit that greeting to something a little more interesting or personal. Remember to leave the D {{UserName}} part of the message intact. Note: keep the 140 character limit in mind, as with all Twitter messages, this one has to be 140 characters or less. Once you’re happy with your automatic greeting (which you can change at any point in time) – click the Use Recipe button.


7. Now each time someone new follows you on Twitter, they’ll be greeted shortly thereafter with the custom message that you created. It’s that simple!

There are many of our readers who reported that us that some times the google chrome browser flash plugin crashes when they were watching youtube video, it has happened with many google chrome users irrespective the browser version they are using. Symptoms were quite different as it happened with some users while youtube video, dailymotion video or any other flash videos are playing. For Google Chrome – Disable One Version Of Flash Player

This firstly happens in google chrome when there are multiple version of flash shockwave plugin installed and google chrome get confused and try to use both of these plugins installed of the same program and fails to do so and results in crashing of all flash videos across the browser.

Quick Fix To Google Chrome Flash Crash Issue

The quickest way to get rid of this problem is to close google chrome, restart it and reload all the youtube or any other flash videos again and they should play fine, if you want to get rid of this problem permanently then follow the fix below.
In this case you will need to go to google chrome browser plugin settings and fix the issues, follow the step by step solution for the same.
1. Open google chrome and type about:plugins or chrome://plugins

2. Now locate Flash – if it says 2 files with different versions as you can see in the image above, you will need to disable one of them to stop the flash plugin to crash while videos are playing. For this you will need to click Details with plus sign which is shown on the top right corner with in the browser.

3. Once you click details you will see the details for both the flash plugin and you need to here disable the internal google chrome flash version which is second entry and is in the app data folder.

Once you have disabled one of the flash plugin here, you just need to restart google chrome and the problem of shockwave plugin will not happen again.

For Firefox – Reinstall Flash Plugin To Fix Crashing

There are times when shockwave plugin may crash in firefox and at such times you will need to re install the flash shockwave plugin, for this uninstall the flash plugin and then go to Adobe’s test page – then when you see a yellow notification bar will appear above the webpage. Click Install Missing Plugins

For Internet Explorer – Uninstall Flash From Add Remove Programs

For this you will need to go to Control Panel >> Add Remove Programs or Programs and Features and then locate the Adobe Flash Player and then double click to remove or uninstall it.

Once flash player is removed, restart computer and then go to Adobe Flash Player Download page in internet explorer again.

Hello friends. In my previous article, I introduced you to the basics of Hexing to bypass antivirus detection. As a reference to that post, I am writing this article to inform you about how Hexing is actually done using Dsplit. Dsplit is a software used to detect virus signature. Hexing is very much important for us to evade antivirus detection. If you will learn how to bypass antivirus by Hexing, you don't have to search for FUD keyloggers and trojans. You can hex files to make them FUD.

I will be using Dsplit as virus signature detector and Ice Gold Freezer as virus over here. You can use any other virus containing file you want.

Download these two files over here:
1. Avira antivirus (Because I've used it in tute).
2. Ice Gold Freezer
 and Dsplit.exe program (used for detecting virus signature).

Hexing Ice Gold Freezer using Dsplit:

First of all, let me tell you that Ice Gold Freezer is detected as "SPR/Tool.Freezer.8" virus (actually malware as Avira.com says) by my Avira antivirus which I use on my computer
. So, I will be telling you how to bypass Avira detection for Ice Gold Freezer. So, lets start.

1. Download Avira antivirus, Dsplit and Ice Gold Freezer from links provided above. Extract Dsplit folder to desktop.

3. Scan Ice Gold Freezer.exe file you've downloaded with antivirus. My Avira says its "SPR/Tool.Freezer.8" malware. So, lets work on it.

4. Copy IceGoldFreezer.exe to Dsplit folder.

5. Now, open Command Prompt (Start ->Run -> cmd ->OK). Change directory to Dsplit folder. So, enter

cd "Replace with your path to Dsplit folder"

and hit Enter.


So, find out your path and enter it accordingly. You can refer first line in the command prompt image below for more information.

6. Now, type in this command:
dsplit.exe 0 max 1000 IceGoldFreezer.exe



dsplit.exe startbyte endbyte numberofbytesinbetween target

7. Now, Dsplit.exe will create around 234 files in current directory. Now, scan all these 234 files created with Avira antivirus. Avira will detect all files from 8000.exe to 233472.exe as virus. So, there is something (virus signature) in 8000.exe which is not present in 7000.exe. Thus, 7000.exe lacks virus signature and hence not detected by Avira, while 8000.exe has virus signature.

Delete all files except 7000.exe, 8000.exe, Dsplit.exe and original IceGoldFreezer.exe.

8. Move on to command prompt and type this:
dsplit.exe 7000 8000 100 IceGoldFreezer.exe

and you'll get 10 files created in current directory. Scan all these 10 created files with Avira antivirus. Avira will detect all files except 7000, 7100.exe as virus. So, again we can say that there is something (actually virus signature) in 7200.exe which is not present in 7100.exe. Delete all files except 7100, 7200, Dsplit.exe and IceGoldFreezer.exe.

9. Now, type in command prompt:
dsplit.exe 7100 7200 10 IceGoldFreezer.exe

and you'll get 10 new files created in current directory. Scan all 10 files with avira and avira will give all files except 7100.exe as virus. So, 7110.exe contains virus signature which 7100.exe doesn't have.

10. Now, comes the last step. Type in command prompt:
dsplit.exe 7100 7110 1 IceGoldFreezer.exe

Again scan all 10 files created with avira antivirus and avira will detect 7108, 7109 and 7110.exe as virus. So, 7108.exe contains virus signature which 7107.exe lacks. Since, these two files are just 1 byte different, this different 1 byte is actually the virus signature which is detected by Avira.

So, we have to change this one byte contained in 7108.exe to make it UD from Avira.

Finding virus definition is important so that we can change found virus definition and prevent antivirus from detecting our virus. The article below shows how to change virus offset to 
bypass antivirus detection and make our trojan undetectable from antiviruses.

Make Trojan undetectable:

To change virus definition we need to have a hex editor. Hex Workshop is one of the best hex editors, I found.

1. Free Download Hex Editor to make trojan undetectable.

2. The downloaded file is zipped and password protected. Click here to get the password.

3. Now, install Hex Editor on your computer.

4. Right click on 7107.exe (obtained from Hexing Part II) and select 'Edit with Hex Workshop'.

5. You will see something like this:

6. Repeat this for 7108.exe.

7. Now, compare both files. You will see at the end 7108.exe will have offset "00" and 7107.exe does not have. So, we conclude that "00" is recognized as virus by antivirus. Note that offset. Here, offset is 0x00001BC3.

8. Now, open original IceGoldFreezer.exe in Hex Workshop and move to offset 0x00001BC3. Simply select the Dos Prompt of Hex Workshop corresponding to virus signature found in Step 6. and hit on space bar.

9. Save the file as IceGoldFreezer.exe and again run antivirus scan. Avira will not detect any virus. Also, run, IceGoldFreezer.exe on computer. It will run normally to indicate that we have made it undetectable from Avira antivirus....cheers. We have FUD freezer.

make any trojan undetectable from antivirus

If you have recently starting using Windows 8, you may have run into an issue where everything starts to run really slow. If you ended up looking at the processes running in Windows 8, you may have noticed a certain process eating up a lot of your CPU.
At least that’s what happened to me on one of my Windows 8 machines. I have installed Windows 8 on several computers and they all worked fine until I installed it on a Lenovo laptop. When I checked the the task manager, I saw that the Device Association Framework Provider Host (daHost.exe) process was taking up almost 90% of the CPU on the system!

If you’re seeing this running on your system, then the issue could be with an out of date driver running on your system. Since Windows 8 is so new, there is still a lot of hardware out there that does not yet support Windows 8 by providing compatible drivers.
You can tell whether it’s hardware causing the problem by going to Device Manager and checking for any yellow exclamation points. You can do this by going to Control Panel and clicking on Device Manager.

Then check for any yellow exclamation points on network cards, display adapters, etc. If you see one, then it’s definitely related to that piece of hardware and you probably need to find a Windows 8 driver. If you can’t find a Windows 8 driver, try downloading the latest version of the Windows 7 driver. Then you can install it in Compatibility mode.

If none of the drivers you are using are working, the only other option you might have until a newer is released is to disable the device. You can do that by right-clicking on the device in Device Manager and choosing Disable.

Of course, you won’t be able to use the device if it’s disabled, but at least you’ll be able to use Windows 8 without the high CPU usage. If you tried all of this or if there is nothing in Device Manager showing a problem, post a comment here and I’ll try to help. Enjoy!

If you like using a mouse to get work done on your Mac or Windows laptop, then you might find it useful to disable the trackpad or touchpad on your system. This is really useful if you type a lot and the trackpad is located in a spot on your laptop that causes it to always pick up slight movements from your hand while typing.
It can be really annoying if you are typing something and all of a sudden the cursor jumps to another part of the document! In this article, I’ll show you the different ways to disable the touchpad on OS X, Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Disable Trackpad OS X Mountain Lion

If you’re running the latest version of OS X and you have a bluetooth or USB mouse connected, you can have OS X ignore the trackpad by going to System Preferences and then clicking on Accessibility.

Then scroll down to Mouse and Trackpad and check the Ignore built-in trackpad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present box.

Disable Trackpad on Windows

In Windows 7 and Windows 8, there are a couple of different ways you can disable the trackpad depending on how your system is configured. The first way you want to check is to see if there is a special button on the keyboard or switch on your laptop to disable the trackpad. For example, this is the key on a Dell laptop. You have to press the Function key and the trackpad button to enable/disable it.

If you don’t have the button or the switch, the next way to disable the touchpad is to go to Mouse properties from Control Panel and check if there is a Device Settings or Touchpad tab.

Click on the Disable button and you’re good to go. If you don’t see the Device Settings tab in Mouse Properties, that means you don’t have the proper drivers installed or the full software for the trackpad. Go to the manufacturers website and download the full driver package.
Lastly, you can open up Device Manager from Control Panel, expand Mouse and other pointing devices and then disable the touchpad if it is listed there.

Everything is the same when disabling the trackpad in Windows 8 also. Of course in Windows 8, your trackpad may not even work unless you have the latest drivers! Synaptics still hasn’t released a Windows 8 generic Touchpad driver yet, so keep an eye out for that if you have a Synaptics touchpad on your laptop. Enjoy!
